As this was our first trip to New York, I'd say we picked a hotel with one of the best locations for New York first-timers! It's in the middle of Downtown New York, a large part of which is the Financial District. It seems like a very safe location to be, with the New York Stock Exchange, the 9/11 memorial, Trinity Church, and many other well-known NYC sites just around the corner. The hotel is located just across the street from the East River, almost on the shore, where amazing views of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge will remind you of all the movies you've ever seen set in New York. There are many nice bars around, as well as one of the most important subway stations (Fulton Street) that will take you anywhere you want to go within or outside of Manhattan. With the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, and the start of Broadway just 3-5 minutes away on foot, we'd usually start our days walking towards Uptown, and then when we get tired, descend into the underground and catch a subway train to where we want to go. Keep walking North of the hotel, and you'll get to incredibly interesting, less posh neighborhoods, such as Chinatown, Korea Town, Little Italy, and Ukrainian Village, all with their own unique flavors, but still undeniably a part of Manhattan and New York - must see! The hotel itself looks rather old but very well preserved, as, to my surprise, most of Manhattan and its buildings. The staff is mostly very pleasant, friendly and helpful, especially Joel, who works at reception. Although we were initially supposed to be on one of the lower levels, we got an upgrade to our room from the kind staff, as they had some vacancies, and we got an amazing room on the 36th floor with an incredible view of the Financial District, giving the whole trip a whole new dimension! We spent most of our non-sleep time in the room staring out the windows. The room was tidy, and cleaned daily, the toilette was decent.

The location is great, walking distance to several subway stations, in the heart of Downtown. Two steps from Pier 17, where we spent evenings listening to music and gazing at sunset into Brooklyn Bridge and Citi lights. Great breakfast, including eggs & bacon etc., yogurts, coffee, oatmeal, bananas, apples. The lobby has lemon ice water, so you won't get thirsty. Room equipped with coffee station, bottled water, hair drier, iron and board. We had king room facing the Front street , surprisingly in was very quiet street, We had late arrival, so I called to the reception asking them to hold my reservation, and they were very helpful. Hotel has 24 hours reception desk and great staff to help anytime. Check-in and check-out was fast. I would visit again.

The bed was huge and super comfy! Bathroom was amazing and spacious, so that was a plus. They have a gym but I didn't use, worth mentioning that they provide water and towels there. There's also fresh water all the time by the reception and throughout the day you can grab some coffee at the restaurante where they serve breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was good, specially in the US where most places won't serve it let alone in New York City. Everyday the hot buffet would offer a different selection whereas the cold buffet was always full with plenty of options, the servers are also vert kind and smiley despite the fact that they're busy rushing up and down.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff! Our room was comfortable for two people. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and nice. Everything was cleaned daily. Coffee, tea, ice water, and microwave were available for guests 24/7. Breakfasts were almost the same everyday but the quality of food was good and the variety made it possible to not eat the same thing everyday. Plant-based milk options were nice surprise for me. Location was perfect! Close to the subway and safe to walk even at night. We'll definitely come back!

We would definately book this hotel again as the room was very clean and quiet. Although we had a room next to the elevator, we did not hear a noise. The breakfast was also good: they had cornflakes, oats, toast, bagels, joghurt, nutella, omelettes, apples every day etc.... so everyone will find something to eat. A little bit more fruits would be nice but ok :-) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is next to the waterfront and its lovely there - we normally stay near times square but this is wayyy better!!
